You're right on that! It's a phase. Wow 11?! I learned that it becomes challenging for me to rotate when I had too many watches (not Rolex though). I gave it all up and didn't turn back.

Glad that you're with me on this! Shopping for watches should not be stressful. I don't enjoy the waiting period as well. LIFE IS SHORT!

Superb trio! I was eyeing on the BB58 for a while but I felt that it would be difficult to co-exist with my Sub. How's the size of the black/red Tudor? Is the case thick like the others?

I need to add a Speedy! I've been tempted to get the new FOIS. Tried it on last week. So gorgeous in person (despite the "fauxtina"). Haha!

Also, Omega's customer service exceeds among other brands! Watches are available to purchase and no waitlists. Hands down.

These have been my 3 for the past year+. They all have sentimental value, are excellent watches, and have been running rock solid. If I'm honest with myself though, I do itch for 1-2 more. It's always been between a 3 watch or 5 watch collection for me... but maybe I'm getting greedy.

Yes, I agree. THIS is all that I need.

More options always arise.

I agree. 3-4 would be my sweet spot. Easier to maintain and rotate.

I might trade out of my YM40 if I can get a SS blue dial Sky Dweller from my AD, but that’s a big if & should it happen I’d still only have three!

Superb pieces you got there! There's just something about having just three.... more special I suppose.

Fingers crossed for your SD. Waiting for the BLNR on my end....

Superb pieces you got there and I love that 5726!

My absolute grail are 5270P and the 5712R or SS.

Thank you. I’m bad with model numbers. It’s the latest 36 mm one, so 124270. I just looked at my card.

Similar 3 to me as well. OP is the most wearable and versatile, Sub is just a cool classic sports watch, and vintage GMT is fun blast from the past. I'd like a Milgauss though.. but only if they reissue the Z Blue which is a loooong shot.

Thank you for the kind words! I agree with you on this. 16700 is just the perfect watch for me. Comfy, swap bezels/bracelets, and timeless!

Love the cool blue Milgauss too! Also really love the vintage 6541 (combo early Sub 6536)! Absolute unicorns!

I'm huge on minimalism. I appreciate things far more when I have fewer of them. Less to maintain, less to stress about, etc.

I bought two Rolexes - a light and a dark staple, both GADA configurations that I can hand down to my small son someday and called it good. No desire for more Rolexes. I have an old 20 year old quartz beater that does need replacing however, but that doesn't really count.

Buuuuuut, need for a new beater aside, I am going to Japan this Saturday to visit my wife (Japanese) and son who are living there temporarily, and I have my eye on one more potential lifetime watch...a Grand Seiko. It makes sense given my family, and the exchange rate isn't helping me resist.

I still haven't for sure made up my mind that I'll get one, but it's possible that I made a third stand (aesthetically heinous but functionally amazing) just yesterday...you know, just in case...

It's also possible I buy one with the intent for it to be a much needed 'beater' replacement and change my mind later????

Thank you for sharing this! Less is more, right?!

Have fun in Japan (my most desirable place to visit one day)! My mom was there a week ago and she said AD's won't sell to tourists and can't try anything on!! Watch demand in Japan is the hardest in the world!!

Grand Seiko on the other hand is readily available with great discounts I heard!

Thanks! I lived there for a few years about 15 years ago and I love and miss it tremendously. Would still like to live there permanently. If you can get out there someday, definitely do so - the people are wonderful.
