Wearing a Rolex watch in New York ?

Having lived in New York, I can assure you that wearing a Rolex if staying in Manhattan will not be an issue, and will also get little attention as a “starter watch”. Even with spotters increasing, they are much more likely to target high end watches. If you’re dining in Brooklyn, suggest you don’t necessarily dine on a terrace or close to the entrance, grab & run have become a thing there regrettably

NYC last year for a week / walking down 5th ave with my sea dweller - looking at a watch shop window, this woman approached me pointing at watches telling me which ones she thought would look good on me.

She got way too close for comfort, I firmly stepped back staring at her, and said politely but firmly I’ll give you more room for you to admire watches, madam”.

For most of the areas NYC visitors go you'll be absolutely fine.
