5711 blue or 5968g blue
Hello
I am thinking on buying one from these 2 grey. Which one is holding better the value which one is more collectable and desirable. Thank you in advance |

Good question! I bet most will pick the 5711 which is great (have one) but I think I’d take the aquanaut here (have a couple)
Don’t know about value but I’d say they’ll behave about the same so get the one you like better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In all honesty with Patek sport watches i would just buy what you like, that will make you happy. Sure there are Patek sport watches that hold better value than others. But no matter which one you pick you won’t lose , live a little.

When it comes to value it all depends when you bought it. If that was 2022, you would still be crying at how much you lost, if you cared about that sort of thing.
Desirability, this has to be what’s desirable to you. 5711 is as good as it’s ever been for simple time only Patek sports watch. |

Watches are great investments. Buy the 5711 for best return on $$ and holding value!

If I were deciding between these two, I’d pick 5711 easily. May not be the best time price-wise to buy however. Just my opinion.

Forget about “value” and “collectible” and get the one you like the most

In this case I’d prefer the 5968g.. more interesting and versatile. 5711 dial looks boring.. not worth the hype

I would personally choose the aquanaut, you get gold and a complication. However, the 5711 is probably more collectible due to current hype.

The 5968g is gorgeous, if you can pull of the size. The 5711 is obviously iconic and more recognizable than the aquanaut but imho a bit underwhelming once you have it on your wrist. They will both keep the value. I would definitely choose the 5968g and enjoy it.
