Wrist sizes!
Ya’ll have some small wrist…continuing my search for my 1st Rolex (and high end watch) I’m discovering a lot of 7”-7.5 wrist sizes.
Do I need to go to BIG and TALL section for a 8” size? (This post is full sarcasm, please don’t ‘at’ me) |

Welcome Robert.
I wouldn’t say 7”+ wrists are exactly small That said, there are quite a few guys here with even larger wrists, I’m sure they’ll chime in. If you’re looking for Rolex that wear larger, the YM2 is probably one of the biggest, followed by the DSSD (you could go DS Challenge if you really want something large) |

Wrist sizes!
I think on this forum, 7.5” are bigger than average. And 8 is definitely larger.
I would guess most folks have around 6.75 to 7 inch wrists. You could post a poll to find out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It seems like the watch world is all about those 7”-7.5” wrist sizes lately. Maybe you'll need to hit up the "BIG and TALL" section for that 8” size Rolex! Who knows, you might find a watch that fits just right for your wrist.

I'm above 7.7" wrist size. I definitely wear a 40 or 41 mm in the Datejust and DayDate watches. I don't feel any need to go larger personally. Certainly, I can understand that you may. Can you share a few photos of your existing watches on your wrist? It's so much easier to discuss this with photos.

A 42MM or 44MM or even 50MM should work well on you. Rolex has the Challenge and IWC has 50MM limited edition pilot, I was at the AD and tried it on did not work for me and I’m over 7” There are some other brands like Panerai has a 46MM.
There are some choices for you, no need for any big & tall? Go on a watch safari and try some out and see what works for you. Cheers, |

7 3/4” wrist here, I find the larger watches can be unbalanced if too tall. Try on a lot of watches and see what you think. I had a deep sea for a while and eventually it wore me out.

My wrist is 8,25" and my sub seems fine to me. But I've been told it looks kind of small. However, I see photos here where the lugs span the entire width of the wrist, which looks too big to me. But it's just a matter of personal preference i guess.

I have 7.75" wrist and ˜42mm is my sweet spot. I tried 40mm Sub (116610) but found it small, I prefer 43 mm Sea-Dweller. I could probably live with Sub's case size but the bracelet was too thin for me, especially at the clasp (I think it's only 16mm wide).

I’ve got an 8 inch wrist too. Size wise, I think my SD43 is proportionally a better look vs my YM40 & DJ41.
I tried the SD43 side by side with a new Sub last year, & it was a no contest to be honest. So yeah, I’d go bigger than a 40/41mm case if I were you.

I have an 8”+ wrist but am in the camp of liking watches in the 39mm to 41mm size. I will even wear 36 and truly enjoy it. In my experience, the important thing to remember is the procurement of an extra link or 2.

What do you mean by that? I have 7.7” wrists and wear a Sub. The bracelet comes in one size. Everyone gets the same bracelet. You remove links if you have a smaller wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In my search for a pre owned sub most bracelets are smaller than what I need without any of the take off or extra links |

All that matters is how you feel about the watch on your wrist.
Try on as many as you can. |

As has been said before, It's not just about your wrist size Wrist shape (flat or round) Arm shape and size, body type all play a role.
To your point OP, I think many bracelets "out of the box" would be snug on an 8" wrist. |

Recently tried on a few Rolex. 7.5" wrist. Even the Sky Dweller I tried was maxed out bracelet wise. Any bigger wrist and you would need to purchase extra links. Some have said that the AD gave them the extras needed, but not locally for me.

I see what you’re saying. You may have to acquire extra links. Mine measure in at 7.7, and I feel like my Sub is the best fitting watch I have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

My wrist is 8.75-9 inches, I wear an 11 series sub and it looks fine, although I had to add an extra link.

I'm guessing that most Rolex bracelets are designed to fit 7.5 inch wrists. Just a little bigger than the male average size

Oyster bracelets all come with 12 links. No matter which model you choose, you will need to obtain a spare link or two. There is a very recent thread about bracelet size. Rolex is not generous in that department…. Good luck! Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
