Trying to Insure My Rolex Air King 126900 in Europe.

Hi Everyone.,
My first post here. I would be very grateful for any constructive help or advice
I am struggling to insure my Rolex Air King in Ireland. The current ref 126900.
With respect to the UK, Providers since Brexit cannot offer Watch Insurance in Ireland which is a pity as some have perfect options from what I can see.
I am renting presently so a house policy does not work.
I see lots of very reasonable quotes in the UK like €150.00 for €10,000 cover for a year, worldwide, no risks etc.

Would anyone have any recommendations please for Ireland or failing that a EU Company who would serve Ireland who I could reach out to?

I would be very grateful.
I have had horrendous problems with an Irish insurer who agreed to insure my watches then changed their mind and are forcing a part refund on me without any right or reply and constantly change their mind which has caused a lot of stress.

Many thanks and wishing everyone a great weekend.
Andrew

Hi. Even if you are renting you could still get contents insurance.

Thank you for suggestion, yes I did try them and the following was their response
"Hello Andrew,

Thank you for your email.

We are unable to cover you unfortunately. You need to be a UK resident with us living at a UK address for 6 months in the 12 month period of the policy."

No, Insurers will not provide cover as I have already stated. There quite simply is not the product offering in Ireland to cover for this.
That is why i am requesting information from standalone watch policies please.
Be grateful if anyone can provide details of any European Insurer who offers reasonable standalone policies and who can operate in Ireland.

Many thanks

Try these https://www.howdeninsurance.ie/perso...tch-insurance/

TH March also used to service the Irish market.

I'm not sure if they issue polices for anywhere in the world but try Hodinkee insurance maybe? I know they cover my policy anywhere in the world but I live in the US, so not sure if they could help you out.

I’m in the U.K. and the watch specific insurance providers were prohibitively expensive so I’m surprised at the rates you’re seeing as I found them much higher.

I went with a home policy through M&S - it’s not clear whether they cover tenants or the Irish market but the company that they underwrite through looks to do both so I’d start there as the rates were very competitive. Have you tried Aviva Ireland?

They don't provide cover for UK owners. I wish they would.

Don't know if they cover Irish residents but I doubt it.

As a matter of interest OP, what do they charge for rental contents insurance in Ireland?

Also TH March do not serve Ireland anymore due to Brexit.
I am reaching out to Lloyds so will update here if I find anyone.
Hodinkee are US based only but I have reached out.
