Saw the 16710GRNR today
Finally saw the GRNR in person today at the AD, it’s really great on jubilee. I would say the grey looks more creamy in person. I’m not a jubilee guy but i think i might get one.

126710 GRNR … when I saw it in person I liked it, would be good certain times, but not enough to add to my collection …

I had the GRNR but let it go shortly after purchase. It was more an impulse purchase since my AD offered it to me. I’m at a stage with my collection that I need historical significance to play a role and the GRNR just doesn’t have it IMHO. I cannot figure why Rolex decided to introduce a brand new bezel variant instead of reincarnating the RONR (aka Coke) - missed opportunity or cunning planning? Don’t get me wrong, the GRNR is a nice monochromatic twist, but at this late stage in my collecting journey I just can’t justify watches as a lasting collection addition unless they have got some reference history.

It’s a stealthy option in the Rolex GMT line. If you like it I’d go for it.

I like it. If you don’t have a sub and want a GMT it’s a great option.

The bezel is much better in person than in pictures. Great option.

I had a chance to compare and try on both the Oyster and Jubilee versions at the same time. They had both on display in exhibition pieces. Definitely a nice looking ref and would make a great daily. However, I wasn't excited enough to really want one that bad or put my name down for it. However, if both of those suddenly became available at that moment, I probably would have walked out with the Jubilee.

In my opinion, the TT version looks much better than the SS version. Yeah, yeah, yeah, some people don't like TT watches. But the black, grey and gold bezel just pops. The SS version bezel just doesn't look right to my eye. But at least we have choices.

If I were to add a piece to the collection it would be the GRNR. Not sure what bracelet. I wonder why would I consider doing that since I have the BLNR, BLRO and the VTNR. Part of the sickness I guess.

I tried one on at the AD. It definitely looks better in person, but it was a pass.

With these issues it would make sense why they haven’t launched another red color way yet

It’s one of my hesitations for sure. After owning just about everything I’m down to a few that i really love. I don’t know if i would love it long term or it’s just new and exciting. I try to stay away from new and exciting unless it’s something i would keep and wear forever. Likely a game time decision on if i pull the trigger when it comes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That’s awesome!
The GRNR on Jubilee is definitely a sleeper hit, super comfortable and adds a bit of refinement. Interesting that you found the grey to have a creamy tone in person. If you’re not a Jubilee guy but still considering it, that says a lot! Think you’ll pull the trigger? |
