The Platinum DD 40 is about 1 oz heavier than the Platinum DD36. To me the weight difference is appreciable…. but the Platinum DD 36 is still a very very heavy animal.

Interesting, would think it would be more. From another thread I found the DD40 platinum (228206) to be 267.5 gram and the Platinum Daytona (116506) to be 284 grams. I actually thought the difference would be greater between those two as well.

Do you notice much difference between the 228206 and 116506 on the wrist?

Yes… on the wrist the weight difference to me is very noticeable (between platinum dd36 and the platinum dd400) but not so much between the platinum dd40 and the platinum Daytona

What do you gravitate towards the most? This or the other 40mm pt dds. Always thought 36 pt dd with baguette dial looks the best.

I know it doesn't show in the catalog, but I handled a fluted bezel platinum DD40 at my AD this week that had an ice blue dial with luminous stick markers.

It was awesome, but also $69,000.

one vote for baguette.

Each baguette diamond seems to have a mind of its down, spontaneously deciding to shine or blend in with the dial. It is truly a unique pleasure to look at the dial every time I check time.

Fluted with baguettes on my wrist!

(Then I woke up lol)

Great pics everyone keep them coming please!! At least us “poors” as our Star Wars themed friend used to say can live vicariously through the more successful among us.

You e got to fine them in the flesh and then decide. Otherwise you'll always have a niggling doubt.

The baguette dial isn't feminine at all

The baguette dial works for me in a business suit or a dress with heels.

Definitely baguettes because if you’re willing to spend $70K+ for an ice blue dial you may as well pay the extra 10K for the diamonds - it totally completes the look!!
Please post your pix once you get the call for an “Incoming”….

I think I prefer the indexes, then baguettes, however would probably take either if offered.

Is anyone getting the call on this one? There are a ton of them available on C24 and eBay.

Both of them are cool but I’d choose the Romans.
