I suppose they will release an updated version with the Cubitus movement inside. 1mm bigger, in precious metal and probably priced at 6 figures.

Everybody else is going smaller, but Patek insists on going bigger. I, personally, miss the 5165 and the 3800.

I don't think so but it would be a great way to ruin a beautiful watch.

On the contrary, it would update the old complication with a modern instantaneous day date.

My love affair began

Back in 2015, pre celeb/SM watch boom, I was lucky enough to get a 5712 from my AD. I knew little of watches. It was the start of my obsession. It has been my pride and joy in the collection for the story it told. It’s the perfect watch for me and my wrist size but I’ve never over-used it. A classic beauty. It will stay with me forever . Thank you Patek and RIP.

The new ones look to be in the low $200s on C24.

Sad to see this leave the catalogue. Was really hopeful for an allocation before it was retired.

The 5712 in steel is a perfect one and done Patek really for those just looking for a versatile do everything sporty piece. The 5970 and others are great grail
collectors pieces but wouldnt get the everyday wear the 5712 or a 5164a would. Not as practical.
