current that wouldn't change
two-tone modern rootbeer
milgauss z-blue

current that I would upgrade
twotone blue sub + james cameron -> full gold deepsea
5 digit two-tone datejust -> 6 digit datejust 41 jubilee fluted
116206 platinum day-date 36 -> platinum date-date 41

additions
day-date 40 with ombre dial (blue/white-gold or grey/rose-gold hard to decide)
1908 platinum
oysterflex yachtmaster 40 rose

Add:
4. Sub date all black
5. GMT Bruce Wayne on jubilee
6. SS Daytona- white

8. Yellow gold DD with white dial 36 fluted bezel

I probably already responded above but my taste in watches always changes.

As of today, I’d settle with these 6:

Here are 8 that I previously owned and all were mint:

1. 6538 Big Crown Sub 4 liner.
2. 6263 Paul Newman white panda.
3. 6241 Paul Newman black dial.
4. 5514 Comex Sub used on deepest dive in Comex history.
5. 5513 full spec Milsub with Henry Hudson paperwork.
6. MK1 Patent Pending DRSD literally unworn.
7. Tropical Mk2 DRSD deep chocolate brown dial.
8. 1940’s Panerai 6152 made by Rolex.

Had many other ones but too many I could list from that era including 6239 PN, 6263 tropical, Mk3 tropical Red Sub, 4 line gilt 5512, Underline gilt 5512, 1655 MK1 orange hand, Meters First YG 1680, and a Turqouise Stella Diamond dial DD WG etc. etc.

228239 WG DD grey sticks dial

Or four:

To me 8 is too many, but if forced my choices would end up pretty similar to your's. Nice collection.

Without getting too invested in the hypothetical, personally, it would likely mean I've committed to an all-Rolex collection. It would probably look something like,

-Sub LV
-YG DSSD
-Panda Daytona
-YG Le Mans Daytona
-DD36 YG Rainbow diamond dial
-Full RG Root Beer GMT
-WG Sky-Dweller on OF
-Platinum 1908
