Your AD must not like you very much. There's a 60k premium on AD vs secondary market.

It’s a nice watch, but when I tried it I was struck at how large it is. Maybe it’s just my small wrist, but it looked and felt like a hockey puck. Though I tried, I could not rationalize getting this one.

LOL

At MSRP this one feels way overpriced for a PC, inline or not, and not least because of a nearly 25% EUR price hike in 3 years. Also looks like a dinner plate on my 6.6 inch wrist.

I was offered the same watch. Very nice but that AD MSRP is looney tunes.

Couldn't have said it better.

IMHO, this piece does require larger wrist size...7.25 (18mm)+

That watch can be had for over $60,000 off retail brand new. I wouldn’t personally

The chief complaints on this watch are the inline discs do not change instantaneously and the smaller plates on the movement are not symmetrical or attractive. I do not like the sharp angulation and shape of the lugs. It is an old design, but I think they give the watch a harsh look.

This is mine on my 6.5 wrist. It is very wearable, and I like the weight.

Very nice piece, although I'm not sold on the pencil hands on this particular reference

I got mine this year. I know some people don’t like the size, but that’s actually one of the reasons I like the watch! If you haven’t seen it in person yet, go check it out. Pictures don’t do it justice

That watch has really grown on me. The blue dial is really pretty.

It’s too big for me, but it looks great on you. I love the date layout (day, day of month, month). Wish my wrist were bigger (and checking account, too, while I’m at it - I shouldn’t be buying Pateks at the AD, but here we are).

I did not buy it. Would fit my 7-1.2” wrist well, but too high for what it is for me. I’m more of a sports watch type guy. Beautiful dial though.

Mr Oyster , you made a wise decision. That piece sadly is a good way to lose $60k or more w sales tax . Such a shame .

Pretty much all/most PC watches (except 5740) will have a sharp drop in secondary market prices. If you really like the watch and you have a relationship with an AD, it never hurts to ask for a discount as many ADs let the watch sit for months and then sell it through the back door.

Are ADs actually giving out discounts now?

It's a fantastic looking watch when held in the real. The shiny parts work wonderfully with the darker dial.

One of the reasons the difference is high (vs secondary market value) is that the watch started at 113 K€ (2021) while is now tagged 140 K€. Hence when an early version goes for sale, it hurts the MSRP figure (like the 5960P grey for instance, aside of availability).

No. The ADs I have spoken to say any accommodation is prohibited by Patek policy. They have not needed to, anyway, in the last several years with the cases basically empty of watches available for sale. The one you see are already sold. Patek is very good at keeping supply well aligned with demand.
