126600 Sea Dweller lume different 2021+?
Hello Everyone-
Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find anything on it. I've been researching Sea Dwellers and while on the Rolex features page I noticed they mention: "Exclusive to Rolex and introduced in 2008, the Chromalight display was optimized in 2021 with the use of a new substance that emits a longer-lasting blue emission intensity and an even brighter white hue in daylight. The performance of this luminescent material clearly exceeds the standards required by watchmaking norms." Does this mean the lume is different on the 2017 - 2020 Sea Dwellers and is "better" on 2021+? (My post count is too low to post a link, but this is on the features page of the Rolex website for the Sea Dweller.) |

I have the latest version SD43 - the lume on mine is not great. I can be out in the sun/ beach all day and maybe get a little over an hour of lume post sunset.

And the SD isn't the only place Rolex mentions this changeover to a better lume. https://www.rolex.com/search?q=Chromalight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes, the lume on the Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 (and other models) was updated in 2021 when Rolex optimized their Chromalight display.
