Mmmmm, very nice! H. Moser's special limited production Spinal Tap "Smell the Glove" commemorative tourbillon timepiece. Look for the new Spinal Tap II movie, coming soon to movie theaters worldwide.

Did Moser just come out with another tourbillon in the Pioneer series with a burgundy dial, gold case.

Thought I read that somewhere, but no pictures.

Yes, did you get the email? It's verrrry sexy if you ask me and has Moser's fantastic in-house double hairspring. Maybe a bit, provocative if you have the appropriate room decor. Also goes great with a crushed velvet burgundy (cigar) smoking jacket. [] ~( ̄▽ ̄) ~*

The HMC 805 automatic calibre with a double hairspring replaces its predecessor, the HMC 804. Partially skeletonised bridges and a sleek anthracite grey finish reveal the gear train and bi-directional winding system, while a beveled rotor ensures an unobstructed view.

12ATM waterproof, you know, like a proper timepiece :)

40mm, lovely lugs carefully curved to comfortably fit your wrist (something Max Büsser of MB&F has been very adamant about too)

So I picked up a preowned Pioneer Centre Seconds 40mm, but I immediately had to send it in for service because I found some scratches on the dial. Turns out the movement was out of alignment and causing damage to the dial, and will be fixed under warranty. I am eagerly awaiting its return, but it did leave me wondering, how rough (or not) can I be with this watch?

It's ostensibly a sports watch, but can I wear it like I would a Rolex, or do I need to be more careful and treat it like a dress watch?

Imho yes you can wear the Pioneer like a Rolex. Solid timepiece and it has a proper 120-meter waterproof rating

I wear a pioneer often and lately a Streamliner. I work with my hands a lot and moser has given me Rolex like confidence with the pioneer (SL TBD). Nice day date btw, I just love DDs. Moser and Rolex make a great one-two. It’s like a commercial where that guy bumps into that girl and he says ‘you got your Rolex in my moser.’ And she says ‘you got your moser in my Rolex.’ And then Saturday am cartoons resume.
