Q: Patek ADs - how often do they receive shipments?

I apologize if this topic has been routinely covered in the past. I'm interested in understanding (directionally) how often a relatively major Patek AD in the United States will receive a Patek shipment ... directionally, how many Pateks per shipment ... and roughly how many of the high demand sports versions they will receive in a year.

I fully realize the answer to this is 'it depends'. Just looking for some general insights though.

My AD do this funny thing sometimes where you get to open the shipment. The last I opened there was 10 watches in the box and there was 2 “hot” watches. They get a shipment once a week mostly.

It’s a small AD - and they just build a stand alone store witch should get them more watches.

It depends.

Jk, if you search this forum, you’ll likely conclude:
— ADs receive 1 or 2 shipments per month
— they receive 1-3 of each aquanaut and nautilus variation
— Patek seems to send watches out in batches. Meaning you’ll see several incomings for the same reference close together.

The actual data is “proprietary” which feels silly to me because patek sales associate must be a high turnover job. We should have some data from former SAs but I haven’t seen it

I’m hoping that this is my year. I will definitely need a lot of help from my AD.

Ten watches a week is forty per month. To me, that seems like a lot for a small AD to receive each month.

Don't know how accurate this # is but my SA at WOS told me they receive between 150 to 175 pieces annually at their location.

That sounds about right.

Annually: 60k watches over 400 Patek retailers = 150 / year.

I’m guessing of the 150 watches, 30 are Nautilus and 30 are Aquanauts.

Of the 30 Nautilus and Aquanauts, 20 each are Stainless Steel.

All guesswork.

Does anyone know if the Patek boutiques/salons get more stock than the average retailer?

PP are now said to produce 70,000 pa. - Might be increasing as a result of the new factory as they slowly train up more staff?

Yes they do. I have asked before this question to one of the SA in the salon. More stock as in across the range including dress and sport watches, not just steel sport models.

It’s down to 292 retailers now and the plan is to cut down to 250 and 200 subsequently. The allocation is different on the region you are living in. My AD receives 35 pieces on average each month whereas some ADs only receive like 10-15 pieces on a monthly basis. Production number is now at 70,000 pieces per year.

Good stuff. Maybe 20 pieces per month on average, with boutiques being notably higher.

Was wondering if anyone’s AD has received any shipments in the new year so far. I reached out to my AD to see if they got anything in recently and they said they haven’t received any shipments in the new year. I’m newer to Patek so I’m not sure if that’s typical for low/no deliveries in the new year or just a way to politely tell me nothing he can show me.

I have heard that the first shipment of 2025 is within a couple of weeks.

Just spoke with my AD this morning. They are expecting Patek shipments starting March.

Q: Is it possible that a last batch of the recently discontinued models is shipped next month … or are those now completely out of play?
