Datejust fluted bezel, Jubilee bracelet with a silver, white, or slate dial. Gives you nice contrast.

I second the Date just on jubilee with fluted bezel. Just pick your favorite dial color.

Yep DJ is on top of my list except jubilee smooth bezel. I find fluted to blingy for my life.

If Datejust is not your style, a nice OP 41 is a great GADA watch.

I have been down this path. I recommend going for the next Rolex that you really like visually and any functions you need. When you think of it as a pair, I think it forces you down a narrow path to get a watch just to complement your current watch. The problem is you only wear one watch at a time. You have to love your next Rolex as much as you love your sub.

Or wait until you know what you want.

I had similar route too. Went DJ Mint green fluted/jub, but lost interest in it relatively quickly. GMT is the way! I chose Pepsi, but it is personal preference.

Been here. I have no interest in a DJ for myself right now. The blnr on jubilee has been a perfect addition to my sub date. I'm actually wearing the blnr right now.

What interests you outside of the Sub?

Need to add one on top of Sub No Date

I started with a Submariner. My second watch was a Speedmaster 1863 on a leather strap (sapphire sandwich). I thought it would be nice to have two classics, and one with a leather strap to provide some contrast.

I later added a Seamaster, DJ41, and GMT. But a Submariner and Speedmaster is a killer combination.

Either a Speedmaster and an Explorer 1 or skip those and add a stainless Daytona

One does not simply walk into Mordor and obtain a stainless Daytona

Speedmaster, DJ, or Cartier Tank/Santos. I’d go Omega personally.

I’d get something with a light colored dial to contrast the black dial on the Sub. DJ white, silver, rhodium/slate (whatever it’s called now), ExpII polar, OP Silver dial, are all good options. A white dial DD would be pretty sweet too…

Rootbeer works well for funkier watch to pair with sub ND.

Best advice here! Also wait until you know what you want otherwise you’ll just continue to wear your favorite.

That’s the ticket. Fluted is too formal and yet my DJ isn’t dressy enough to be my dress watch… so went smooth on jubilee and zero regrets.
