When will Omega release something that the people want?
Seems pretty unanimous that folks want the 300 SMP with a new bracelet and/or a thinner smaller Planet Ocean. When will they stop with the speedy iterations and give us what the people want?

Well they did release a white moonwatch, which people wanted
They also make 39mm Planet Oceans As for the SMP, sure a new bracelet would be nice but there is a lot of charm and history associated with the current bracelet. My big issue with that model is the skeleton hands. |

I agree with the Sword Hands.
![]() Have not bought a Seamaster or any other Omega since they went to the skeletons and all in for 007 branding over and over and over again.

I think the speedmaster releases have been good.
But I think people would go crazy for a 12mm thick, 40-42mm diameter dark side of the moon! |

It would be nice to see an update to the Seamaster lineup.

I’m definitely on board with the hands. I’m not to crazy about many of the hand iterations currently used.

Agree! But personally i think omega is doing good right now. They are innovating at the same time being consistent with their models.
They really lack offering a gmt. I think they can do a way better job than rolex or tudor. Sent from my SM-A736B using Tapatalk |

Do they still produce the oreo PO GMT? I always liked that one, but it's a really thick watch. Omega needs to thin down many of their automatic watches. 15+ mm just doesn't cut it these days. |

Omega just released a $100k Speedy that looks like a $5k Speedy.
I mean….. Who hasn’t been clamoring for that! https://www.fratellowatches.com/spee...link-bracelet/ |

Definitely a small market of potential purchasers given the price, and I suspect very limited production. I was told that the NY boutique only sees 2 to 3 per year (before the platinum bracelet version was released) and you have to figure that their clients include buyers world wide.

If money was no object I'd totally get one. My favorite watch in the Omega catalog. The biggest thing holding Omega back is that to most people they are the Moonwatch company. That's the only watch they make that's really seen as iconic outside of the WIS community. I think if they took the SMP back to its roots it could also be in that category (the Bond 60th is headed down the right path). And as pointed out above, they REALLY need some new refined GMT offerings. That's a big segment of the watch industry to not be a player in. |

And, yes! I would be all over an Omega GMT. I assume you are a pilot, Guppy, as am I. I bought a Speedy Pilot on Christmas Day and it is now my primary work watch. LOVE it! No GMT, but the quick-set hour hand is very convenient when jumping time zones. I would prefer the Pilot to be a manual wind calibre 9906 rather than the automatic 9900 but it is what it is. The platinum 321 on strap is $65K, so the platinum bracelet is $35K? Not sure what Omega's strategy is here. I would pay $65K for the all platinum and maybe $40K for the watch on a strap...

As the 321 EW (with SS bracelet) is about $15K and the 321 platinum (with strap is $65K, I think the value of the platinum case, oynx dial, metorite sub dials are worth at most $50k (which seems high to me). Both watches clear the market around $1K of MSRP. Based on market clearing levels of these two, this values the platinum bracelet on the all platinum 321 at about $35K....this also seems like a lot.

The white gold 321 is also beautiful with the onyx and beautiful movement and arrow style hands. If they had either the platinum or that design in steel at affordable price, they'd be super popular!
https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/w...31150393001001 I don't like the matte finish of the regular speedmasters' dial. If they ever make a reasonably priced one with a glossy lacquer or onyx black dial I'd be much more interested |

I am always confused by the arrow style hands.
Why do some Omegas have the arrow on the hour hand, some with the arrow on the minute hand, and come have the arrow on both hands? Seems very arbitrary/inconsistent.

It definitely fits the category of stealth wealth. Very under the radar - 99.9% would confuse it for a regular Speedmaster.
I think Omega has been doing an incredible job with their releases the past few years. White Speedmaster First in Space Snoopy Flightmaster Aqua Terra Teal and Black Bond 60th The other new Seamaster varieties. I’m sure I’m missing a few. Lots of really good releases in my opinion. I agree Omega is on a good trajectory. While I still don't like the skeletonized hands, the new Seamaster Divers with no date are fantastic.
There is, however, a large void in the GMT market, where Rolex's GMT2 reins supreme. An Omega GMT could really shake things up. Is anything coming?
