OP 36 Tourquoise

Is the 36 Tourquoise still considered a rare piece ? , amongst my friends it seems too create a fuss. My brother is like it’s an entry level Rolex no more .

Yes, it’s still hard to get, as are all the remaining colors. OP’s are the least expensive Rolex, and that’s the sole reason people call them entry level. There is no difference in the quality, when compared to any other Rolex.

Hard to get, but yes it's entry level. If you go try to get a 41mm... well it's a little deeper bc you're going to get something that was only out for 2 years.

Rolex as a brand is in many ways an entryway to the rest of the realm of 4-5 digit mechanical watches.

Even a ceramic panda daytona, that's the mark of the end of your modern Rolex stainless journey. But there's still precious metals, stone dials, more exclusive, then the endless world of vintage. Get to a Rolex padellone, i think that's closer to the end than the beginning of the journey.

Just enjoy. There's always someone with even more rare pieces no matter your price range.

I picked up a 31 last week and they acted like they were pretty rare. Said store employees were not allowed to purchase them.

Tougher to get than most other dials.
Wouldn't be my choice for an OP.

I got the OP 36 turquoise in 2023 from AD, after a few months wait. Not hard to get I think, and definitely easier than a Daytona 126500LN (which I haven't requested).

For those that think that this watch is not difficult to acquire, ask the AD for one. Check prices on the shivery market. 13k fit 36 and 15k fit 41 seems to say it's not easy to acquire.

This video shows the 36 has beveled edges on all 4 sides whereas the 41 only has 2 sides. 36 shimmers nicely. My family’s watches. Yellow is mine. I love it almost as much as my 126500 white and 116519 ghost. These are truly sleepers

It seems to be as hard as getting Pepsi. Harder to get than Batman, Sprite, and all Sub. A little easier than the 126500 white.

Yup! Rare not many around still , some of us get lucky and will get the call? After waiting forever. Some of us will never get the call. Depends on your local market, luck and AD relationship.

Cheers,

Waiting for one for my wife and have been told by everyone on here and the AD’s that it’s not easy to get and not very common.

You'd have a better shot at a Daytona of any color.

It annoys me when people call the OPs “entry level.” It is true that they are the least expensive models in the catalog but as noted earlier they share the same movement with many higher priced references and the quality and attention to detail is the same you would expect from any Rolex.
Since the revamped OP line came out in the fall of 2020 they have been in high demand especially the bright colored dials. I love wearing mine, rugged but stylish and not the same Rolex everyone else has.

This entry level watch is somehow not readily available and you might have to wait quite a bit to get one.

My AD in Germany toldme last year that the OP with the green dial would have a theoretical waiting time of about 10 years based on the demand and how very few of those they receive from Rolex. He told me it was harder to get than the most sought after sports models. All those colored dials likely won‘t be in production for long though.

I have the OP36 in turquoise and love it, one of my favourite pieces. A client of mine works for a Rolex AD in London, she explained that the store hasn't seen the watch for 10 months.

Picture is confusing me a bit , how many OP’s do you have ? Is that both a 36 and 41mm turquoise? Congrats on a beautiful collection. Did you go grey or get them at the AD?

Maybe they mean Rolex entry level. Nothing wrong with that. My wife owns 3. I wish I had the turquoise 41mm. I just won’t spend 4x retail for it. They are great watches. But to be fair for Rolex it is their entry level watch. But far from the least desirable.
