18239 and earlier stone dials

What unique dials were available on the 18239 or earlier WG DDs?
I figure I should have a WG DD in the mix and was wondering what cool dials there were I could look for? Does anyone have pics of the various dials from the older WG refs? I know most are likely priced crazy but Id still like to know what there was so I can keep my eyes open. Yeah I know tons of aftermarket options but I like to keep it kosher.

Two of my favorites would be a blue vignette and the wood dials. But if you want to step up in price 100k plus the tiffany stella , bloodstone. To view more or even buy go to Johnson 167 and momentum Dubai on IG .

Enjoy the hunt. Chris

Scratch that, obviously the wood and vignette dials are not considered stone. Best

There were a LOT of DD dial options then! Here are lo-res images of most of the ones available for the 18239 and 18039 and their contemporaries. Quite a few others were also available for the 1803/9.

If you’re looking to keep things 100% kosher, be aware that (alongside the many exceptionally high-quality aftermarkets and repaints*) some later 118239 dials, never offered pre-2000, have also been swapped into these earlier models. Along with all the great dial options, there were also a few uncommon bracelet and bezel varieties - WG bark, WG Jubilee bracelets, etc.

Also here are a few favorite WG DDs - Green Stella baton pie-pan “rail dial,” no-lume Wide Boy, and no-marker lapis.

Enjoy the hunt - We’ll look forward to seeing pics of any candidates you’re considering!
