Kat, I would buy the Jubilee and keep your Wimbledon with both bracelets. If you decide that one bracelet becomes your preference the other bracelet can become currency to offset the cost of the other, however I can think of nothing more luxurious than having two bracelets for your luxury Rolex Wimbledon. In the absence of that I think 77T gives very sound advice above.

That’s a great idea, but I have my eye on a SS sport model next. I found out earlier today that to buy a Jubilee brand new from Rolex is $5800 plus CA sales tax, so that ain’t happening. That’s whole watch money. My Tudor BB 58 was way less than that, and my OP not much more. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Yeah, after taxes you’re well over $6k. Not worth it! I definitely wouldn’t kick the oyster bracelet out of bed for eating crackers. 77T has the best suggestion so far if you must have a jubilee. I will say my 36mm DJ on jubilee is by far the most comfortable watch I own. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Should I Source a Jubilee for My Wimbledon, or Leave it as is?
Honestly the cheapest route would be to sell/ trade your entire watch in towards a jubilee version. I’m guessing it will bring your out of pocket cost down. I’d bet it would be about a 2k difference. That’s why I always get the jubilee at retail on the watch I want if possible.
The 2 tone jubilee will be expensive from the AD. I’m also in the fluted and jubilee camp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

i was offered $9500 for mine back in summer 2023 and at that time the watch was ~14k new from a grey. i imagine today the offer would be a bit less since the market is only getting softer. a new one from an AD is around 14.5k with tax. so best case you save like 1k or you'd end up in the same spot except you'd be taking a massive loss on your watch and adding the same amount towards a new one instead of a second bracelet |

Maybe selling the Oyster bracelet would help soften the Jubilee purchase?

Outright purchase of new bracelet doesn't make great fingerboard sense in my opinion. Either keep as is or trade the watch for Jubilee. I say the latter.

I have thought about calling one of the trusted sellers and seeing if I could trade the bracelet, but that’s a long shot. I like the way my watch looks, as it is, but thought I’d like the Jubilee too. It’s just cost prohibitive. I can’t justify spending $5800 (Rolex’s price) for a bracelet. If it were half that amount, I’d do it.

The Oyster bracelet nicely frames the bezel and dial, letting the Wimbledon dial be the center of attention. Personally, I think the Jubilee overwhelms the Wimbledon a bit. I’d rather a Jubilee with a simpler dial.
Oh, and I’d rather save the $5,800 (or better yet, put that to a watch). ![]() Good luck with your choice! ![]() |

I did this with a white dial TT DJ41 and then with my TT SkyDweller. I will tell you TT bracelet prices will hurt your feelings, bit I thought it was worth it. Cheaper than another watch.

I meant for her to trade in towards a used/mint or unworn one as well. Hers is pretty new. I don’t think she will be taking a $6k hit. I think they can swap her out for way less than $6k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi kat. I think if you had the jubilee you’d never bother putting it back on oyster. It’s lovely as is but I think that it’s
More cost effective to trade the whole watch. Let us know what pans out. As it happens I’ve got a smooth 126300 and wondered about doing this and buying an additional one but tbh I think I’d then want fluted bezel as well. It’s a sickness is this hobby! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That is exactly what someone else said to me.I do like the way my watch looks, as is. Maybe I get a whole different watch on Jubilee instead. However, I do have a call into Than to see if doing a straight trade with me adding money on top could work. Trade my whole configuration for the other. I do see 2 problems there. I’d be giving up one of my treasured AD allocations for ??. What if I don’t like it better, when I put it on? It’s hard for me to judge how it would look on me, by looking at hairy wristed guys’ pics, and I mean that in the nicest way, as they are just being helpful. ![]() Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

We’ll see if Than can do some magic. If it’s nor too damaging to my pocketbook, and is a full set, about the same age, (mine is still less than a year old), I’ll consider it. Otherwise, I’ll keep what I’ve got. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Funny you should ask. I was just thinking about that. I also thought of trying a high quality TT aftermarket bracelet, but they don’t seem to exist, though they do have them in all SS. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Would visiting the AD to try on a similar TT Exhibition Watch on Jubilee help answer your curiosity about liking the look? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I prefer the wimbledon on jubilee but would never pay separately for the bracelet alone - too expensive.

I’d really go for a jubilee.
The price for a TT jubilee is very expensive indeed but changing the bracelet changes the wear and the feel of the watch so much that it is almost like a complete new watch. Maybe not so expensive looking at it in this way. ![]()

As much as I love the look of Oyster, theres no getting away from the comfort of the Jubilee - add the gold/steel mix, its pretty special. Kat I'm sure you'd be very happy with it, especially since you can flip back and forth when you want a change. I am considering this for the GRNR (when I get the call), although buy with Jubilee, add the PCL Oyster.

I have both my Datejusts on Jubilee with fluted bezel and love the look.
If it was me, I would look at adding an additional watch to your collection with the Jubilee. This year marks the 80th Anniversary of the Datejust, so there might just be some nice new dials released in April. |

Except that I don’t want two two tone Datejusts… what I want is THIS Datejust on a Jubilee. I’m thinking that any way to accomplish this will just cost too much. There are much worse problems to have, though. ![]() Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Or buy another TT Rolex on secondary with jubilee. Then swap bracelets and resell non required DJ dial with Oyster. Probably wouldn't cost you that much in sale loss compared to the 6k Factory Jubilee. Although the sporty look of the Oyster bracelet is fantastic, so enjoy. Sent from my LE2113 using Tapatalk |
