Getting back to the status symbol issue let's turn it around.
When you see someone who is wearing a 126500 what does that tell you? As the 12 series Daytona come out at the height of the hype, the wearer had to: a. buy grey at 2X to 3X retail b. have a superior AD relationship with substantial spend history c. wanted a new Daytona so much that preowned or other manufacturer's chronos were not adequate alternatives. Have I missed anything? What do a, b or c tell you about status symbols?
