Thinking about getting back into Panerai

So I have a 243J and I have not worn it in some time. No reason perhaps just because its buried in the safe and never the first thing I see.
In general I have always favored watches on bracelets but Panerai is the exception due to all the fun straps out there.
For some reason years later I am starting to miss my 233 (dot). I sold it for something else but I've started to appreciate manuals again and love the power reserve on the 233 dial.
Is there any reason not to get a 233 (dot)? I recall years ago some people seemed to have problems with the 233 movement but I don't recall what it was.
The 270 is cool but I rather the manual movement of the 233, also I like the dial of the 233 better.

233 is an all time Panerai. Love mine. I prefer the look of the AM PM version. I think the issue was with fang on the power reserve.

Now I am debating a 233 or 275.
I really don't need a date and do like Chronos.
Never had a mono pusher.

Rocking the 243.
Dug it out and threw it on a thick black NATO and I still really appreciate a Panerai.

Once I got the dot 233, I haven't purchased any new Panerai since. It's the perfect Pam IMO. The dome crystal, sandwich dial, 8 days of power reserve etc.

As for the 270, it was a bit too thick for me due to the auto rotor. The 275 is nice, but I personally haven't had a need for a chrono.

You can't really go wrong with any of them.

Only the very earliest had a problem where the indicator got stuck at the end. There is a slight difference in the later and replaced dials. I had an earlier one but it never had a problem.

I had a 233 dot dial. It’s a watch I miss and would like to have again. Domed crystal, sandwich dial, GMT. What’s not to love? So easy to change straps on also.

The 233 is the one I’d opt for.

Otherwise a 127 would be nice too

233 is a PAM staple. I couldn't see any regrets it that decision.

Honestly I do not recall but it might have been Crown and Buckle.

Its amazing how little info you find on the forums about the 275
I don't get it.

233 would pair amazingly well with the 243!

It’s a good time to get back into Panerai. Prices are still pretty low on most 3 digit references which in my view are pretty much the only Panerai worth having on a nostalgic basis. However, I’m a Panerai purist so the uncluttered dial look is the way to go IMHO. Good liuck.

I just added a 183 to my 111 and bronzo and that’s all my panerai bases covered with radiomir and luminor references

I totally understand the purist stance but for me its between the 233 and 275.

Today I tossed the 243 on a custom LV strap I had made from an old worn LV bag.

It is funny when I put it on the other day I was like wow this is heavy but after 15 minutes on the wrist I forgot it was on and today it just felt like another watch.

I regret selling my 243. That is an awesome watch. Replaced it with the 25 which I will never sell.

I like both options. The 275 is sharp. Can’t go wrong here. Go with your gut, its right most of the time

233 is the one I’d pick if I were to buy a 44mm!

Prices are unbelievable these days. Just took delivery of a 662… I’ve wanted one for years and was lucky enough to find a mint condition 2022 model for a steal. It looks like it was never worn!

You can’t go wrong with the 233. I’ve got a dot dial — the issue was with the power reserve display but it’s fixable and Panerai will service the dot without replacing the dial to AM/PM (though they’ll do that as well if asked to).

It would take years to guess a Panerai model number.
