Ahhh the YG GMT II Green....

I keep posting about this and I apologize to all who are sick of it (those who didn't put me on ignore )

One guy who quoted 18k didn't have it, looked it up 'I can have it in a few days'

The place with the DD II's, WG Sub, same where I bought my bezel, they had the TT green dial and today they had the full YG. I tried it on, and even with my thin wrists, it was STUNNING....pics really don't do it justice....

He said he wanted 18.5, but since I had bought from him previously, he would work with me, basically 18 or maybe slightly under. Had all the seals, that weird bar code looking sticker....I must have this watch....

Do I pull $ out of the market and a little out of savings??

I guess nobody NEEDS a watch, but I NEED this watch!!!

NOBODY, but NOBODY.....NEEDS an expensive watch, Steve. We all just WANT one.

The NEED for a watch would suffice with a TIMEX - it's there to tell you the correct time and that's what your real NEED is.

The luxuries of the world we all WANT.........now that's something else!!

Cheers - JJ

Pulling money out of the stock market at this time is probably not the greatest idea since the stock prices are still heavily discounted. Pulling money out of the savings account is fine I think since the inflation rate is definitely way higher than any of interest rates the banks offer these days. Just my opinion, I pulled the cash out of the savings account where it was getting depleted by the inflation, but left my portfolio untouched. And good luck with your decision!

I disagree. I *needed* the watches I have. My life would be so different and lonely with a Timex. Somehow.

I don't know how, but I'm sure it would.

Do whatever makes you happy, if it won't hurt you financially. There's no point watching that number in your bank account, if you're not going to use it.

Remember, there are only about 5 needs in life... Food, water, clothing, housing, and Rolex. Make sure you have the others down first.

True, but I think my order of importance is the exact reverse! Maybe that's why my wrists are so thin!

Had the 116718 ½ a year and loved it, sold, missed, got 116618. It's a special feeling, I'd do it. Wait... he had the TT green dial, on second thoughts I'd keep the money...;-)

If it's manageable, go for it! When it comes to these watches, our emotions take the lead!

Seems like a big $$. Unless you have all your bases covered, I would be reluctant. Its not like your getting a big discount, right?

Well, when I first posted asking if 18 was a good price, the consensus was that it's a good deal. So my guy today with the actual watch said was hoping 18.5, but maybe work with me a little, so I'm not expecting a 8, 10% discount

Realistically 18k is a very good deal, however, I have a feeling that in New York you could probably shop around and get it closer to 17k.

New York particularly seems to be one of the markets flooded with unsold stock. Of course if it is 18k tax inclusive, you win.

I think you should get it if you have the funds. You can always flip it if you get tired of it.

Cash, definitely no tax. This particular place, they really come in, day or 2, they're gone, like the YM II. Also WG Sub, but they got another.

Yume's watch is gone too!

And Bruno, it would hurt a little, but I think I can swing it. but I can't ever see myself getting tired of this

No hesitation-- go for it buddy !

The things in life we sometimes regret are the things we never do, such as denying our selves a Rolex!!!!

Or swallowing our pride and denying ourselves the love of a good woman whom we lost to strange circumstances because in actuality we know that our love can withstand all things if only we can overcome pride, hurt and possible disappointment and understand that once in a lifetime we are blessed in such an awesome way with a partner who always brings out the best in us with no strings attached and no expectations...<< hehehehe okay, so if you've read my previous posts, you will know where I'm coming from.... seriously though, go get that watch !!!!! ... and I might just do that too......

That is exactly what I want. I know it really is above my means at this point in time. But, I actually get in bed at night and imagine myself wearing it. That is what I did prior to owning my one and only Rolex and I got it shortly after imagining myself with it. I know that if I get that watch, I won't need another for the rest of my life.

If you can do it, I say, go for it. It is simply spectacular!!!!!!!

Do it!

If you're losing sleep over it, then you NEED to get the watch.

Just tell yourself it's a health issue.
