Grandfather's Omega Geneve

So this watch just turned up in my late father's estate, an Omega Geneve, which we think was purchased by my Grandfather in the early 1960's. Its a good size - either 36 or 38mm case, and appears to be in decent condition, though the original bracelet is missing. And it appears to be running.

I thought I would share it with you guys - I know nothing about Omegas.

Nice watch with a great story! Although I own a vintage Omega as well, I'm no expert. Someone should post soon who knows more about that model. I'm sure it would look great with a nice strap on it.

Nice watch.

I have my dads old Seamaster from that era. Had it cleaned up and it's now my "formal" watch for those events.

What a great find, having a watch passed down from your grandfather and father makes it truly special. The Omega Genève was a solid line in the ’60s, and at 36-38mm, it’s still very wearable today. Since it’s running, a light service might be all it needs. A nice leather strap or period-correct bracelet would complete the look, definitely a piece worth holding onto!

That's a beautiful watch and the family connection makes it that much more special and personally valuable. I'm sure you will enjoy it for many more years to come and pass it down some day as well.
