Here's the idea I came out with. How to recycle wife's Valentine's Day chocolate bear. Of course....wife's not very happy...chuckle:

Mine goes in the wall safe when I'm not wearing it. Sorry, soup cans, stuffed animals, well, crooks know those hiding places.

There's an old, and very easy to work with, trick for hiding small objects.

All you need is a small saw, a wall, and a dummy electrical outlet like this one. Cut hole in wall. Install dummy outlet. Put in item. Close cover.

Done, and it looks real enough that with something plugged in (say, a coffeemaker), nobody would bat an eye. The outlet's dead, but looks perfect.

I'm installing one this weekend- I have several dead outlets as it is, moving over the real one is a simple chore.
