DHL Notice B2C suspend shipments for value over 800 USD from EU to US

Is anyone from Europe received the same notification from DHL?

This is what I have just received from DHL, bear the translation if some errors :

we will temporarily suspend business-to-consumer (B2C) shipments to individuals in the U.S. where the declared value exceeds $800.

____

Important Update for Shipments to the United States with a Customs Value Over $800:
Transit Time Delays and Temporary Suspension of Business to Consumer (B2C) Shipments.

Dear Partner,

We would like to inform you of some temporary measures we are introducing regarding DHL services to the U.S.

As you may have seen in the news, the President of the United States has issued several Executive Orders (EOs) imposing additional tariffs on all countries and eliminating De Minimis treatment for all products with a Country of Origin (COO) of China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

In addition, shipments from all countries with a value over $800 now require formal entry processing into the United States. This limit was set at $2,500 prior to these regulatory updates. Previously, shipments between $800 and $2,500 could be cleared through expedited import procedures. These changes are being implemented under the emergency economic powers granted by the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

While the reciprocal tariff break for certain countries remains in effect, the recent requirement for formal import processing for all shipments over $800 from all countries is still in effect today.

Therefore, expedited import procedures are no longer available for these shipments. Imports are now subject to customs duties based on the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which may include: the universal duty rate, Section 301 duties, and other duties applicable under the IEEPA.

Each of these shipments must be cleared individually. Additional information and/or supporting documentation may be required to complete the process, which may include proof of origin of the goods. In addition, all customs declarations must include the final consignee's Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), which may be a Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN), along with other supporting documentation.

Important Update for Shipments to the United States with a Customs Value Over $800: Transit Time Delays and Temporary Suspension of Business to Consumer (B2C) Shipments
The changes outlined above have resulted in a significant increase in formal customs clearances, which we are handling around the clock. While we are working diligently to scale up and manage this increase in volume, we are experiencing delays of several days in transit to the U.S. from any country of origin for shipments with a declared customs value over $800.
To address this situation, effective Monday, April 21, 2025, and until further notice, we will temporarily suspend business-to-consumer (B2C) shipments to individuals in the U.S. where the declared value exceeds $800.
Shipments with a customs declarable value of less than $800 are not affected by the suspension.
Please note that business-to-business (B2B) shipments to U.S. businesses with a customs declarable value greater than $800 are not affected by the suspension, although they may also experience delays.

This is a temporary measure that is being taken to ensure that we can maintain our commitment to high-quality service to our customers. We will provide updates as the situation evolves.

We will continue to process shipments to the United States in full compliance with applicable customs rules and regulations. In addition, we are actively monitoring the situation and will work closely with you to help you understand and adapt to these changes in customs regulations.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact your DHL Express representative.

Thank you for your trust and cooperation.

DHL will resume global shipments from businesses to American consumers worth more than $800 after a “constructive dialogue” with US authorities, the company said Monday.
