I think they’re both amazing and quite honestly both could have a place in anyone’s collection. Having owned both of them, I can’t honestly say one is better than the other currently I do not have a Hulk, but I will eventually get another one to add with my Starbucks.

You’ve clearly never owned the hulk or even worn it. The dial does not look black half the time. That’s like saying why should I get the white dial Daytona when the dial looks black every time I look at the watch in darkness

While I understand your passion for the Hulk, the 12LVs are retro to the original green sub which also had a black dial. They will bring back the green dial as well someday. So the Hulk is a copy of the OG.

I’ve had my LVc for over 11 years, never get sick of it. I’d be happy to own the newer one with the black dial too, but if forced to pick, it’s the former.

The dial. Just too good in combination. Also this sub has this case for 10-12 years, it will probably not return to these proportions for quite some time, if ever. I like the stance and its uniqueness now. The 50th anniversary sub exists and I would go for that over the latest lv.

I think the new sub c with black dial is far superior to green/green for most occasions and wear. New dimensions are great.

However...I would never again buy another Rolex with the new movement. Get an 11 series or earlier with 3135 IMO.

I always loved the original 50th anniversary Kermit, Due to timing, waitlists and whatever, I ended up with the Starbucks 126610LV. I love the new case, longer power reserve and versatility of the black dial on green bezel. Very happy with it.

I always felt the hulk was “too green” ….so for me the Starbucks is perfect.

I have a hulk and have never noticed the face looking black. The all green dial and bezel look fantastic. Hulk all day everyday!

Hulk is discontinued forever in my opinion. It has the green Chameleon dial, perfect 11 bracelet & clasp, and bullet proof movement. Truly unique steel reference from Rolex with a nickname that fits perfectly.

I’ve always regretted not purchasing the original 16610LV Kermit when I had the chance. I was offered the Hulk several times over the years, but it never truly resonated with me. When the opportunity to pick up the Starbucks came along, though, I didn’t hesitate. Still, looking back, I wish I had added the original Kermit to my collection when it was within reach

I sold Starbucks, and Hulk is with me to this day. And I don't regret that decision, because 116610LV is one of Rolex's better creations.
