Omega Boutique Somerset OPENED!!!

Just like the title said, it finally opened up on Thursday! The place is little small but lots of pieces including new recent releases. The staff is really friendly and very welcoming for change.

Somerset Collection has most other brands as well. Rolex, Tudor, Panerai, etc. Tapper's has about 6 Boutiques. Very nice mall.

I lived in Michigan before, there was already an Omega Boutique in the Somerset Collection mall in Troy. It's been there for years. What's different?

That one closed in 2022! This one is actually the only Omega boutique in Michigan.

Corporate.

From what I have gathered- Tappers did their big build out on the other side of the mall (with the food court). The new buildout has boutiques for Panerai, Cartier, JLC, Tudor, IWC. While doing the buildout, they had a temp store on the other side of the mall (by the now open Omega) Their Rolex rep came for a visit to see the progress, and visited the temporary store- after seeing neighbors on both sides (Prada, Gucci, LV, Moncler, MCM vs a candy store and a hair salon) the Rolex rep said they would like their boutique on the higher end side of the mall. Tappers of course had to accommodate.

Omega (who pulled out of the mall in 2020 or 2021), upon hearing about the stand alone Rolex boutique wanted to get back in.

Tappers does carry Omega at their Novi store, so I am not sure how all this played out on a high level or if Tappers will continue to carry Omega at all- the selection in Novi was very sad when I stopped in about a month ago

Stopped in the Omega boutique yesterday. It's really small and claustrophobic- any more than 4-5 people and it's uncomfortable.

My wife wanted to look at Aqua Terra line, and they only had a couple of examples. Then you have to wait for other customers to move before you can even see anything. Very awkward.

The new SWATCH boutique on the other side of mall is awesome- I had more fun in there talking watches with the staff then I did at any of the other boutiques. My wife got a MoonSwatch and my son (2.5 years) got his first watch!

You are right, it is small but I’m happy to finally have one in MI.
I will have to check Swatch store next time!
