Some hope for 007

I think I read they’re going to expand the Bond franchise and not stick to just movies. They’ll have streaming content, too. So that opens the door for multiple incarnations of Bond content. They could have movies or shows that fit the traditional Bond mold. They also might have movies or content that fits the woke mold. That’s purely speculative, of course. We’ll find out soon enough. I recently was interviewed for a book on Bond video games so I’m excited for that to come out.

Denis Villeneuve has knocked it out of the park over the last 10 years with his movies, I can't see him stumbling now. He's been faithful to the lore for his movies that had existing material.
Bond hasn't been good in a while anyway, so this is a win win. |

Yeah, Paul, and the guy next to you in your avatar could be the next Bond villain. He would be perfect. It could be a friendship gone sour and then a big reconciliation at the end - or not.

Aaron Taylor Johnson has been rumored for a long time, and the new Omega partnership adds credence to it. I think Sydney Sweeney would be a bad fit, so hopefully that doesn’t pan out.

Hoping for the best. Surely Amazon knows that they need to stay close to the Ian Fleming character.

Release pushed to 2028, roughly a 7 year interval from premiere date of Craig's final movie.

Is the James Bond 'character personality' even viable anymore? Seriously, not sure the ladies and others may respond well to James Bond in modern times.
All In The Family and Good Times were appropriate TV shows for the 1970s and all that... as was Welcome Back Kotter. Don't feel they can really do James Bond, may as well retire it imho. Instead of embarrassing releases, delays, etc, as we see with other studios. We already have countless other guys doing their own modern Bond thing anyway.

And I think you’re wrong about the audience responding to the character. We aren’t in the 60s and 70s anymore when Bond can slap a woman that displeases him (see Connery, Lazenby, and Moore for examples) but all six actors have portrayed different aspects of Bond in a way that connected to the audiences of their era without comprising the central premise of what Fleming envisioned. With solid writing, acting and a good director the possibilities are endless. ![]() |

Yes! I’m looking forward to seeing how Q uses Echo to ask Alexa how to modify a Kindle with advanced weapons for Bond and how Bond gets delivered gadgets and martinis with Amazon Prime. |

Of course with extensive marketing, good production/direction and great casting, plus buying off few key social media influencers, am sure they could sell a female sexy Bond. Isn't it about time for Bond to change? Since we already have soooo many male 'Bonds' in theaters, this could be a great time to introduce a modern audience to a proper Middle-Eastern female Bond that follows / observes Halal / etc. This isn't the mid-1900 with carburetor cars and where men work and women stay home to watch the kids. Open Bond to newfound entusaiasts that expands the audience's view on the modern Middle-Eastern world of today. About time to bring in new fans to the Bond fold, as the audience has indeed changed, plus it could also help the old UK better acclimate to the modern British 'culture' that has greatly changed since the mid-1900s James Bond era. Bond, Aisha Bond. About time we have a strong female Bond, which surely better represents where 2025 British culture is going, don't you agree? Added: Guess my point is we already have / had plenty of typical Bonds, and now there are many more like him in the movies. Let's have Bond move things forward into modern / future times. Look at what Great Britain was in the 1960s compared to today. Personally, i rather love the old original-ish Bond. A confident, strong man. Tho tbf i was born in the middlish-later 1900s. Times they have indeed changed.

I think the pendulum is swinging the other way. Plus, even though Bond films have a deep rooted British heritage, the market for these films is predominantly USA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Makes sense for profits. USA has the Mission Impossible guy, the funny red-suit comedy dual-sword guy, we like the Australian guy, the WWF wrestling guy... Imho bring back the original Bond, show true allure, dominating, perky.... etc. Be daring and allow a script that is not approved by the current UK social policies yet are fine in the U.S.
Maybe Bond uses a drone swarm, or sound-weapon, or sends in AI-robots for battle while he enjoys tea with the Queen, and later seduces another Monaco socialite... or three (at the same time... oh James, OH James, and Oh JAMES!!!).
