I mean not everyone is into watches. I know tons of people like that.

I work in healthcare and one of my close buddies is a plastic surgeon. Owns a bigass ranch in a luxury area, owns 2 Porchse, RangeRover and his daily wear is a iWatch. I often tell him to buy a grey market daytona and he's response is "eh..all it does it tell time. My iWatch does so many things more and is more comfortable".

My brother in law is like that as well. Owns big time towing company in bay area (chp contracts) and spends all his money on fast cars....2 supras, one 1970s corvette he's been rebuilding for 3 years, just bought a $150k RV last month. His wife walks in a car dealership, picks out the car and he writes a check much to their dismay..lol. He wears a Citizen skyhawk and doesnt even replace it as its been working fine for over 5 years.. Again, zero interest in watches.

I know what you mean, but just because someone owns a Casio F-91W or a Citizen Skyhawk doesn't mean they're not into watches. It may mean they appreciate those watches!

I adore all watches for specific reasons. I have owned so many and if I told you the entire list and that I'm on the expression of interest list at my local AD, you would think I'm all about Rolex.

Yet, I was spending my lunchbreak yesterday admiring the new Citizen Promaster Air Navihawk (Now in 40mm!) and thinking of reasons why I shouldn't buy it!

I love Rolex, Patek, Omega and Grand Seiko, but they're not the be and end all of watches. Sometimes, a £20 Casio really shows up a watch valued at £28,000.

Would you have the same reaction if you wore a very nice watch and didn’t drive a luxury brand auto? For many of us it’s about a well rounded lifestyle and appreciating similar qualities into all aspects of a lifestyle.

Different strokes these days as it boils down to one’s personal style.

I think as any true watch nerd, we get excited about any new watch purchase whether its $100 or $100k.

I've lived in a neighborhood with a lot of exotics for 20 years.

Cars really are not a flex to me. I do appreciate a legit big engine though.

It's not hard in Tx to see jewelry on women that eclipses what an exotic runs. Had burger last weekend and lady next table over wearing two rose Cheval pieces.

I know a farmer whose daily is an old GMT. His 454 truck and faded beat up watch impress me more (both as old as me).

The reality we all know, is he is on the waiting list for his first rolex at the AD.

That was my last watch! I wore it for many years. It was really handy and did a few things you need and nothing you don't need. It finally died around the time I got my first cell phone and I didn't wear a watch for years until I got my sub 6-7 years ago. Apparently it's still made.

That is a great watch for many occasions. Buckle straps annoy me, and I gave away my G-Shock to a friend.
Like many others, I like watches, and cars.
Practicality and budget come to mind though.
My modest watch collection would be boring to most here, but is just about perfect for me.
Cars are what bring me joy.
I believe my Sub date is worth more than any of my vehicles. Actually makes me happy to think about that.
My purchases are what I like for me, and my future plans, not for what others think.

A Citizen Skyhawk is a nice watch, and to regular folk, a bit pricey.

I love my Timex and Casio watches. I wear them all the time and sometimes at car shows and club events. I saw that blue Casio and got excited for a moment. Cool watches!!

A young, likeable guy with a watch that many appreciate. The scene has a bit of a halo effect. Funny story.

That’s peak confidence. Sometimes the boldest flex is not flexing at all.

Love this!

Besides, didn't a Bugatti driver get his timepiece ripped off in London. Maybe his MB&F Chrono is in his men's clutch bag (or whatever the kids call it nowadays).
