1603 Interesting dial face 3 lines?

First time poster. Searched the forum and did not find anything related.

This is my son-in-law's watch. Passed down to him from his uncle/aunt who bought it new.

1603. Serial number places its birth year as 1969.

So, the question I pose is, what is the significance of the dial face's bottom half having three text lines, when everything I have seen so far in the DATEJUST images on the the web are two text lines?

If you're not too picky about the exact style of the dial, you can probably find a replacement.

My son-in-law will probably keep it as is since it has been in the family since new. I may suggest that we locate a decent replacement to have on hand.

Lots of 1603s out there.

Dan's right.

Heaps of spare 1601/1603 dials floating on the Bay. Take your pick. Not expensive either.

1601/1603 pie pan batton T swiss T dials in silver (least expensive and poss my favourite....as quintessential DJ) cheap as chips - I bought two last month for £345 and £367.
