My first Panerai!

Just arrived from an AD today. So far so good, although I really wish the buckle was a deployant instead of a pin (which I always struggle to get comfortable). I assume they don’t make a deployant buckle I can replace this one with?

Otherwise it’s great. Pleased with the thickness - or rather thinness - of the Due. And love the clean white dial.

You can go straight to their website and order new straps and buckles including a deployant style. She's a beaut!

Congrats. I like the 38mm Due but wonder if the crown guard will bother my hand since I would wear the watch on my left hand. Really like the blue dial but not so much the leather band, it's too bright blue.

My AD told me that you can't buy a deployant buckle for the Due. I guess that's wrong?

This is a PAM 1381, correct? Your strap size is 22/18.

If so, you have options. You can replace the strap with a 22/22 or 22/20 - there are a few deployant options for these sizes. Or, there is a 18mm deployant (PAV00775) on their website. You'll need to get a strap that fits a deployant either way.

It's the PAM 1381, a Luminor Due.

Unfortunately I cannot seem to get the strap to a comfortable position. One hole for the buckle is too lose and the case rotates on my wrist; the next smaller hole is too tight. I've had the same problem with Omegas with pin-buckle straps and I've since learned to avoid pin buckles. I liked this watch so much, though, that I decided to take the plunge. This is why I was looking for a deployant.

Given the cost of a new rubber strap and buckle, however, I decided to just take the plunge and purchase a Due metal bracelet. I'll post pics once I have it and it's on the watch.

Is this true even with the quick-release system straps? This Due has the quick-release system, so I thought that limited my choices somewhat.

If you want to stick with genuine Panerai...

Go to the Panerai website. Accessories -> Straps and bracelets -> By collection and diameter. Select Luminor Due. Select 42mm. Select Strap Size (XS or Standard). Select Folding Clasp.

There are 5 rubber strap options.

If you don't mind aftermarket, the options are limitless.

Hope this helps!

Very nice. I have 1342 and put that on a black Americas Cup strap with blue/red stitching and love it! The white dial is great. Enjoy!
