Questions on the books "Moonwatch Only" and "A Moon Watch Story"

Dear all,

I'm thinking of buying one of the above books to accompany my current Moonwatch (3861, sapphire caseback), but I understand that they were first published back in 2019, which predates the current Moonwatch.

However, when I checked on Amazon, the publication dates for the above books were stated as "2025" and "2024", respectively.

Does anyone know if they've been updated, or simply reprinted?

I just want to know if they include the 3861 calibre in the books, and if so, do both have it?

Thank you.

I am pretty sure they include the 3861 movement as it first came out with the moonshine gold Apollo 50th anniversary that came out in 2019.

I actually have the book at home (purchased Dec 2023) so I can check for you later today.

OK, so my version is copyrighted 2021 and it is a reprint of the 2019 edition. It does include watches with the 3861 movement including the Apollo 11 50th anniversary in moonshine Gold as well as the steel version. It also has the 321 platinum moon watch. It does not have the Ed White 321, the 50th anniversary silver Snoopy, or any other moon watch post 2019.

But the real fun of the book is learning about all the older models anyways!

Questions on the books "Moonwatch Only" and "A Moon Watch Story"

This thread needs pictures! The Moonswatch Only is a great book if you are a Speedmaster fan, latest 3rd version shown below (with my former 3861 sapphire sandwich on top) does includes the 3861.

My favorite Speedmaster book is an old Omega publication called "A Time Capsule Omega Speedmaster" . Omega gave it away free ~25 years ago, but it is mostly vintage and NASA related... but ooooh the photos, some of the best (IMHO).

I have "A Moon Watch Story" and it's ok.. but doesn't compare to "A Time Capsule".

.. Gratuitous photo of my Speedy on the pages of "A Time Capsule"
