![]() ![]() ![]() As for the difference in contrast and brightness between the PC and the Mac, I have also noticed that. It is a fundamental difference in the video color space that the two platforms use. Always somewhat of a problem. Another issue is the sizing of fonts. 12-point text looks a LOT BIGGER on a PC than it does on a Mac. ![]()

Yeah I've definately noticed that. I have my macs display set to match the pc, but it's always off just a hair. Someday I'll use one of those fancy calibration tools and get 'em all the same.
Cheers, Bruce |

Cheers Paul! I copied this off the National Trust website:
Having started out as a tiny organisation with a visionary idea, the National Trust is now the UK's largest conservation charity. Today, with over 300 historic properties and gardens, almost 600 miles of coastline and nearly a quarter of a million hectares of countryside in our ownership, we protect some of the most important collections, mansion houses, vernacular buildings, coast and countryside for everyone to enjoy and treasure. I guess they get houses donated to them and they then rent them out for very little on the condition that the tenant cares for the property. My MIL's sister and husband lived in this particular house for 16 years and built a fantastic garden. They're both over 70 now so taking care of the property was becoming too much work. They're moving and their son will be taking over. Beautiful, secluded property. I bet they'll miss it. |

I'm with you on that, Ed. I have visited MANY Trust homes in the UK (I belong to the Royal Oak Society - the arm of the National Trust in the US), and this view brings back a lot of wonderful memories.

Thanks so much guys! There are so many great scenes like that around here. I've just been looking at some Ilford b&w film that I'm gonna order to use with my FILs EOS 3 film camera. It'll be fun to shoot some real b&w again, especially with winter coming.
Cheers, Bruce |
