Hey PAM fans: Quick price check/advice needed...

...on a LNIB 251

My second-hand dealer buddy has a white face (Daylight?) 251 with inner/outer boxes, warranty card from original buyer dated June 09, both straps (leather perfect, rubber never installed), tool, the whole works minus the plastic of course. He's asking $5300 US.

Any insight would be appreciated. I am a total Panerai virgin.

TIA.

I think Pam 251 for $5300 is a good price. I believe the Pam 251 dial is not pure white but off-white color. The Pam 188 daylight is the white dial.

Good luck.

Think you are getting a good price. A friend of mine sold his about 6months ago for $6200.

I checked around the various sites Friday night, and it quickly became a no-brainer $$-wise. It helped that I was kind of smitten with the look - that always makes the decision easier. Oddly, until Friday I had never even given a thought to Panerai and really couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Then I saw several in person

Well, it kept right on calling my name, so I pulled the trigger. Warranty card from 6/09, and all Bs & Ps included. I even like the original strap.

Outdoor lighting bad today due to typical rainy PA fall overcast day, but I tried a wrist shot anyway. I think I can do better later.
