Minnesota

Any members from MN interested in getting together? I live in the Twin Cities, but am always up for a nice drive. Respond back or PM and I will try to set something up.

Rick

Hey Rick. DoxaDavid and I have done a couple GTG's, the last one was in December with Terry Newton. Let's talk about some dates, and figure out who else is close (including western WI).

Sounds good. I am open most weekends except June 26-28. Let's see who else replies.

So it's settled! This Friday Night; say 11:30 at the White Castle on Lake St.

I would never be able to sleep if I had White Castles at 11:30.

How does Saterday July 11th sound? If we can get an approximate location, I will find a bar/restaurant in the area.

What about June 20th. I thought I would be on-call at work, but it turns out I am off that weekend.

What's funny is; everybody was worried what the burgers would do to them.
Nobody said; maybe Lake St at 11:30 at nights isn't such a good idea for a GTG.

Very true Matthew. I think there is a Popeye's chicken around there someplace. Best Red Beans and Rice in the world.

Why are we picking fast food? The 20th might be workable for me, but for God sake, did you spend all your money on a Rolex? Let's at least eat something that won't make us die early!

How about El Meson on Lyndale?

I was just kidding about going to Popeyes (but not about the quality of the red beans). I will find some interesting choices for food in the area chosen and send them out to the group to decide on the final location. I would certainly support something on the upper end or a unique dining destination, but I am fine with anything.

Hi Guys!

I just PM'd you Rick. I would love to come but will be in Europe from June 10-21. If you stick with the 20th, have a great time and I will have to wait till we try again!

I propose we go with June 20th. I am from Woodbury (East of St Paul). I am not sure where everyones else is from, but I searched a little and the Fire Lake Restaurant looks like it might be a good choice. Since it is in a hotel, it might be a little less crowded. I have attached a link to it below. Let me know if anyone has any comments or suggestions for other meeting places.
