When did Yachtmaster switch to SELs

Hi folks,

Just trying to clarify that.

I've got an M serial number. Wonder if it makes the cut.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the YM always had SELs, right from when it was first launched, somewhere around 2001/2.

Correct.....and also the YM case sides were always smooth and without lug-holes from the moment of its first launch.

I thought the YM was launch in 1997?
I've seen an "A" serial platty for sale few months ago.

The YM was first launched as the FULL GOLD model in 1992.

Later on, in 1994, they introduced the steel/gold model for men and ladies.

The YMs have always come without lug-holes and SELs as standard fit....as shown in my above pics of my former TT Blue YM.

You just need one, if you aren't sure just read my work below.

YachtMaster 16622

Was the full-sized steel/gold on hiatus for a couple of years post-2000? I thought there was a while where I didn't see them.

Also, why did they never offer the Platinum version with the white dial? I think that case/bracelet/bezel combo with a white dial and black or black-outline markers and black hands would be HOT.

Yes, I think you're right. The men's steel/gold models in 40 mm came out much later, after 2000.

I got my TT BLUE YM in 2005 brand new from my AD (early D-series).

The Platinum version could not possibly come with any colour except the natural colour of Platinum itself......for the simple reason that the dial is in fact made of solid 950 grade Platinum.......and so is the entire bezel.

I meant use a dial made of whatever substance the white dials are made of, instead of platinum.

Keep the bezel all-platinum, obviously.

Well, I hate to say it, but maybe if you'd come up with a concept like THAT the board wouldn't have replaced you.

I'm just sayin'...
