Panerai 203, 276, 306
What makes these watches so expensive? Do they use ultra complicated movements or are they using vintage movements in these watches. Someone please help with this question.

276 & 306 are tourbillon, that explain the price.
203 have angelus, something extraordinary for diehard pam lover I guess. |

Heru explained it best...Panerais annual numbers pales in comparison to the numbers that Rolex produces per year (thrown around the web)...

The 203 uses a historic Angelus 8-Day movement. It isn't made anymore and it was the original movement used by Panerai. Basically Panerai goes shopping all over the internet, watch shops, etc (just like we do) and try to find these old Angelus 8-Day movements. The clean them up back to brand new shape and slap them in a 203!
The production numbers are super low b/c of this and hence the insane price!

203... good god I would love one. Too bad it'll be mostly as a safe piece because I can't pull off a 47mm Panerai Luminor.
