Clasp doesnt sit in the middle of my wrist...
...when the face of the watch does...do I have to take a link from one side for the other to make it even. It is starting to drive me nuts.
On my thumb side of my wrist the end of the clasp sits almost out... Thoughts? |

I'm always more concerned with how the inside part of the clasp sits, for comfort reasons. However, I'd experiment with moving a link or adding/subtracting a link and moving the bracelet to a different hole on the clasp, assuming your watch has the holes.

If you can tell us the make of the watch and the linkage configuration, we could help. If it's an Oyster bracelet, keep only FIVE links on the '6' side - no more. The rest can go on the '12' side. Good luck - JJ

But it would make a big difference to your comfort wear.

Yep, I am with JJ on this one as I always have to get an extra link in all my Rolex watches.
Come on now guys; we all know how important it is for it to hang correctly..... |

Its a Sub Date 16610, just picked up this beaut! It has 5 on the '6' side and '9' on the 12 if I count all of the links including the extension.... One of the 5 links on the 6 side are VERY small though... |

Actually, you have only 4½ links on the '6' side and on the '12' side you will find 9 full links + one FLAT extension link marked "S". I have the exact same arrangement on my Sub and the clasp sits perfectly in the centre of my wrist. JJ

I have to edit the photos of the watch from the day I bought it tomorrow and I will then snap off a few of how it sits and see what you think... Thanks JJ! |

I have a small wrist. 6.5" so I have some issues.
My new GMT II inner hinge sticks out a bit on the pinkie side of my left wrist. Does not bother me too much. The watchmaker at a local RSC said he could actually cut a link in half...he did that to his own watch. I could always get a new link if I sold the watch...but I think it is close enough. |

Well I finally found a tiny screw driver and switched a link from one side to the other...now the watch fits and sits perfect! I'm super happy now, no more annyoying clasp.
One problem though, I used the link with the 0 on it for the divers extension...which is not really a big deal, but instead of risking scratching the watch with the screw driver, I think I will just leave it...I know where to press anyway! Thanks guys! |
