Thats not a fair shot because the Panerai GMT with the SS Bracelet would look better I tried my friends Panerai GMT 4 days ago and it is a stunner but with the SS bracelet. The leather band not for me on any watch

That photo was taken shortly after I got the watch and was playing with the rubber strap. Here's one I really like, |

Had a Panerai and now have a Rolex Gmt IIC. The Rollie is by far the better watch!

rolie baby! i think the PAM's running a lil bit late
kidding aside, depends i guess on what you want and what you already have. I personally wouldn't mind owning a PAM. but not before another few rolexes. but that's just me.. |

Pam 88 is the only Panerai that I like.

I still think the size of the PAM's is a fad that will go out of style in the near term. Go Rolex all the way...it looks great and 40mm is something that will always stand the test of time.

Mike, that is a great looking strap. I think this is one fun/easy thing with PAM - you can change strap, not with Rolex.

I have always like the PAM, but the one in this pic is definitely not my favourite. The Rolex looks a lot better.
BTW, thank you for the comparison shot. I have always somewhat lusted after the PAM, I guess I just didn't realize how big they are. When you see 44mm in print, it doesn't really sink in. When I see it in a pic like that, I realize the watch would be far too big for me. That's one I can cross off my list! (not meaning any disrespect to PAMs) Cheers, Carl

Pam for me. But, if comparing to the older, GMT II model 16710, I'd take the GMT II.

Pam in this case. Also many Pams also come in 40mm.......... The best option is to have both!..............

In the Rolex section the GMT wins hands down.
In the Pam Forum the Luminor GMT romps in. I'll have both. Pam first, then the SS GMT IIc 'cos I have a TT.
