USPS comes through again. My 6309 restored to as new from Randall Benson arrived today.

The watch is simply awesome. The domed sapphire crystal. Brush case top with polished side and bottom. The dial is great and the hands and face glow brightly. Crown screws down solid and the bezel is smooth. Slapped on a Seiko jubilee and am wearing it now. Still want to tweak with new end pieces for a better fit.

Thanks. For as large as the older Seiko's are, their cushion case design really lays nice and flat across the wrist.

The 6309 was the watch ALL the guys I dove with had way back when. Nice to have one "as new" now 25+ years later. This one dates to 1980, the year I got PADI certified.

Are the dial and hands new, or is it a re-lume, as they seem to glow very very well! :)

Looks like they done a great job a great true divers watch.Below picture of my old 1980 Japan model 6309.

They were relumed during the build/restoration.

I don't ever want to get it restored, though - every scratch and ding on this watch has a story behind it.

Cool. Those later slim case 6309's were the transitional watchs to the 200m Seiko divers sold today. Nice.
