Could you guys please keep my father in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. He has an aortic aneurism and is undergoing heart surgery tomorrow morning to 'bandage' it up internally.
He has suffered with a bad heart for about 20 years (had a couple of big coronary heart attacks) but has been in much better health for the last few years after having a pacemaker fitted.
My mother passed away after a long battle with cancer last year and my father cared for her tirelessly. I'm pretty sure that the stress of that has contributed to his current condition.
It was only by chance that his dr discovered the aneurism and there have been some concerns that he might not make it through the surgery.

I'm a great believer in the power of positive thought and your support would be greatly appreciated.

My father came through the operation ok. When they opened him up, the dr got a bit of a shock and had to change procedure. They took a graft from both of his legs and took the aneurism right out. It was worse than they originally thought. He is feeling quite ropey at the moment, but the op. was a success. Hopefully he will make a good recovery.
I'm sure that your prayers and thoughts have helped him, and he ( and I) was touched that so many people that have never met him took the time to have a word with the guy upstairs.
