Would love to find a Vintage GMT Pepsi to consider as well. Mike has coached me on 16700 I was looking at...but I must say I LOVE my non-Vintage D-Series GMTII Coke!!!

Many thanks indeed for all the help!
I believe the major issue will be to find a nice non molested item that has not been put together throughout the years, and clearly the 16750 has an advantage being a more recent model..

As for the case and weight I have found out that the case is nearly identical between the two models (as Mike mentioned), but the back case of the 16750 is thicker because the movement is different, so that might be explaining the difference in weight. Would you agree on that?

Another question: some sources say that the 1675 only had pepsi bezel insert, and that the all black bezel insert was introduced with the 16750. Other sources say the opposite, and date the introduction of the all-black insert around the early '70s for the 1675.
Any hints?

The 1675 was introduced with the RED/BLUE insert, but later added the BLACK. Early 70s is accurate.

Here are 2 of my watches. A 1675 and a 16750 for comparison.
This 16750 is my favorite watch and has been my daily wear watch for 25 years.
As you can see externally they look almost the same. The date wheels are different though.
Internally the movements are different the 1675 in a non quick set and the 16750 is a quick set.

Beauties! I am definitely getting the itch for a 16750.
