Dalton made it perfect

Recently I bought a Gold GMT 1675 that had a good ding in the side, an engraved case back and lugs that just weren’t to my liking. The dial and hands were mint but the case wasn’t. I like perfect examples and since this was not perfect I wasnt sure what to do with it. While we had the watch apart for a movement service I thought about the guy on the forums that does amazing case work Dalton from ABC Watchwerks. I had seen some of his work here on the forums and figured he can fix anything why not give him a try. I emailed him and Tuesday he told me to send it to him and I did. I received the case and case back today and spent a good 5 minutes looking over it. I was blown away to say the least. The lugs were square again, the ding gone, and the case back perfect. He added Gold and didn't remove any. I now have an excellent case and case back and a stunning 18k 1675 nipple dial GMT watch. I have been collecting for years and I know good work when I see it. Dalton is a 1st class professional and he does EXCELLENT work.

Dalton can come up with some real magic on scratches, dings and damaged watches.

Wow, very nice pics. BTW since props are being given, credit should be given to Beau Goorey. He reworked the case, while I only lasered the case, and caseback. This is a great example of the kind of work we like to pump out, quality, and pride. Thanks for giving us a shot at it Nick. It's nice to know that our finished work is being admired.

Ohhh that can't be the same watch case

That is nothing short of an amazing turnaround from a case that many would say was 'gone, ruined, overpolished and something that a collector would say, "what a shame".

Well I'll be damned, there is such a thing as rejuvenation to former pristine glory.

Dalton and his associates do fantastic work. I've had them work on two of my watches and couldn't be happier.

I presume the same service is available for steel cases? What is a general ballpark number for something like that? Are we talking more or less than $1,000 USD?
