Anyone Interested In Another Philly GTG in Sept.?

Hi Guys,

It was great to hear from you on my thread. Walt had recommended the possibility of a GTG in Sept., and I wanted to put this out there to see if anyone is game? Faith

I would live to, but it's gets very busy for me after Labor Day with my kids sports, etc. Throw some dates out there and I'll see if I can squeeze it in.

Same here. As of now I can't make 8/27 - 9/03 and 9/10 - 9/13. Two huge outings up here on those days with about 20 people between the two outings coming up to me for them. If I leave during those days I know there will be 20 voodoo dolls of me stuck full of needles.

Perhaps it's easier if you guys throw out dates. I have a lot going on here and don't have a lot of energy to put this together. Perhaps someone else would like to step up and coordinate this?

This time of year gets real "iffy" due to the weather up here for me. I'll be in Philly the end of Jan. - early Feb. at the earliest. The last time I left Philly in Jan. it was 50 degrees, got 5 miles from my house up here, and sat on a mountain in traffic for 2 hours with an inch of ice on the road.
Can't promise I can show for a winter GTG.

Jim and the rest of you guys,

Should we aim for the beginning of April like last year? Things can get crazy over the holidays and the weather can be unpredictable up to, and throughout March. I'm interested in your feedback. Faith

I should have no problems with a spring GTG. Like I said, If the weather on a GTG day in the winter is bad up here, I'll probally be a no show.
Also, I would personnally like a GTG outside of a mall. I thought the Tourbillon people were nice, friendly and interesting but didn't care too much for the ADs in King of Prussia. My vote is for something like Jewelers Row.
BTW, lets not forget about the GTG in York next June.

Spring Phila-GTG sounds good to me...won't be able to make it to York 'cause I'll be in VT that week.

Comcast bldg - Rolex boutique

I finally had the chance to visit the Rolex boutique at the Comcast building yesterday...they don't have too much on display...

I asked the sales rep (only one in that location), where's all the over 1000 watches I've read about when the place first opened. He said they moved a lot of it to the 18th and Chesnut store because it's a much better location, shopping wise. Too bad I didn't see the place when it opened last year, I'm sure it was impressive back then.

Unfortunately I think most of the big retailers have reduced their inventory due to the times and the other big retailers that have a wide selection don't stray far from the retail price due to their big inventory cost.
Thats why I prefer the smaller Rolex retailer.
