New square case watches, like or dislike?

What do you all think of the new large and square Bell & Ross trend? I hated them at first but the orange hand/marker models are wearing on me. I actually may have to get one.

I can't get myself to like the B and R watches, but I am starting to like alot of the tounneau shaped watches like the reverso and others.

Is that the proper term "tounneau" for a square case? Excuse my ignorance here, but I am curious.

100% agree with you there. The totally square shape is not really for me, but the reverso & prince have such a classic, classy shape. I'd forgotten how much I like the reversos until today actually. I was at the florists yesterday and there was a very attractive, middle aged lady in front of me with a ladies SS or WG reverso on. It is one dress watch I would love to have (the mens, not the ladies... )

I am not positive of the spelling of that, but that is the term for more rectangle shaped watches. You were right calling the B and R square, they are very much so that.

Sorry, don't like round pegs in square holes!!

They look like navigational instruments on an aircraft console!!

That's precisely what they're supposed to be. I think it's the BR-01 that's the 'instrument' series. They have a bit of a novelty factor, but I don't think I'd pay list price for one.

Sorry, not my cuppa. But I do like the tonneau and rectangular shaped cases that the others have mentioned.

Agree with that assessment, Peter. And I like my Cartier Tank as well. It is a little less oblong than the Prince in my avatar, but this general shape is more pleasing to my eye than the absolutely square watches.
