Piston converters?
Pen newbie question:
I have a MB FP now (pix later tonight!). It came with the little plastic cartridges. Can a piston converter be used on it, or do those only work with certain models? I assume the advantage is less cost per ink and a greater variety of colors?

Congrats on scoring the FP.
![]() Regarding the convertors: 1. they are called cartridge convertors, they are usually double the length of the cartridges and a little wider in diameter. 2. whether the convertors can be used is 100% dependent on the size/length of the barrel. I believe that for shorter pens such as the Boehme range, some of the pens are cartridge only. I do know that the Chopin (or 144 or "classic") is convertor friendly. 3. One can still recycle old cartridge shells and feed ink into them using a syringe with blunt needles. |
