pam 24

hi all

ive always been a rolex man, but i`m getting drawn towards a pam sub, went into w o s in brum (england) today and tried a 24 on, i really liked it, it over powered my daytona side by side, dont know much about panerai . just wanna ask if the 24 is a good 1st pam and should i expect any discount?
the AD politely said no to any but 3 yrs interest free credit, rrp £3800

cheers andy

Andy, I recently added a PAM to my collection and like you found the PAMs more imposing that my Rolex. It's definitely worth trying on different PAMs to get "acclimatised" to the difference in size. After a couple of times it felt much better. I have to day after adding the PAM, a 312, it is very different to my Sub LV but they ballance each other well with what I need from a lifestyle perspective.

Wrt the PAM 24 I haven't looked at it in detail so others will be better placed to help, however, the recentl thread on PAM 24 vs. 243 may help. Probably worth looking at both.

Discounts in the UK are a challenge and you're probably better off trying to get throw ins such as the interest free credit, additional straps, free 1st service, etc.. But it will depend on model etc.

thanks guys,

i think a pam 24 or 243 will go great with a daytona, 2 watches for all occasions, the 243 is a lot more money than the 24, the pams feel so good on the wrist,

why cant we be happy with one good watch? haha

If you buy a PAM you will have one watch, well one watch for each occasion. That's what I tell myself!!

PAMs seem to be like Rolexs in terms of holding their value. Whilst the 243 is more money there are half as many produced as the 24 so are rarer. Worth trying them both on a couple of times.

Good luck and enjoy the hunt!

IMO a comparison of the 24 and 243 favors the 243. Having said that I have a 24 and couldn't be happier with it. A great reference with a ton of presence, mine has been crazy accurate.

Pam 24 is one of the most sporty & funky Contemp design by Panerai . I ever owned. It get the most wear time among my others timepieces I'm certain u gonna get lots of compliment wearing it.
