Does this mean a new Pepsi is on the way. It would be great to see that iconic look return to the GMT.

I would be so surprised if Rolex introduced a blue/red GMT II with the ceramic. That would be fantastic but I have learned that when I get excited for Basel, I only end up disappointed by what Rolex has introduced. Every year lately it's the same thing, another classic design destroyed for a blinged out larger model.

Not sure about when the watch will come out, but looking at the Search Report issued by the EPO, it looks like it'll be very difficult for Rolex to protect the coloured ceramic bezel with a patent...at least to any useful degree!

That's what I've heard, but then again it's all speculation as the only people that really know is Rolex

Rolex has already stated that they are working on this, but their success rate is something like 5%. If you read the details of this patent, it sounds like they are still having problems not getting a consistent red color. I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

Some other patent docs from http://www.minus4plus6.com/116710.htm on the GMT page....
There is more insight on how 116710 ceramic bezel works on the Rolex US Patent document posted here (right click and save the .pdf to your desktop).

It appears that Rolex is working on a two tone ceramic bezel. Look at the Rolex US Patent document posted here (right click and save the .pdf to your desktop).

A January, 2008 US Patent document is posted here(right click and save the .pdf to your desktop).

I love your site Sheldon. Great job / Thanks!!!

I especially like your writings re: a 6.5" wrist - that's me! - and the bracelet adjustments possible... I may need to try some of the recommendations. I am basically OK with the way my D-Series Coke GMT II fits, but it could be better.

A ceramic gmt pepsi? If that is true all of the others watches on my list have just moved down a notch.

The Ceramic Pepsi is the one thing that could actually get to me to a new style GMT II.

Overall not a fan of the supercase myself but a pepsi ceramic would look great.

I agree. I have had my eye on the ceramic GMT, but would love to have a pepsi version.
