Montblanc 100 Year StarWalker Special Edition-Diamond Star FP!
Love this pen! Nice to handle, elegant modern look, very nice grip. For those that read my earlier thread: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=104286 , YES! The cap does screw nicely on the back of the pen; in fact, back or top, it is a very similar experience to the Rolex crown - it screws on until it meets a bit of resistance and stops nicely. Much better fit and feel than my Boheme Doue RB. I'll be busy practicing writing this evening!

Great pen
![]() What is the nib size? How does it feel to write with? I like the thought MB put into making this model ![]()

It's a medium nib. Flows very well, have blue ink at the moment. It's 18k white gold with the special 100 year marking showing the MB mountain.

The screw on cap (it's called 'posting' the cap when you put the cap on the top of the pen to write with) is really outstanding IMHO.
I think all quality pens that have both metal/resin incorporated into the barrels should have that option. ![]()

'Posting' - thanks! I didn't know that. When I jumped from Omega to Rolex, one thing I noticed was how wonderfully smooth the winding crown fit against the case as compared to the Omega which was rough and loose.
This MB pen cap, when posted?, fits just as smoothly and snugly against the back. Sunday is looking like a rainy day, so I'll be writing some samples to post here and I'll be more able to comment on how it writes.

A most interesting fountain pen, Numi.
When it comes to Montblanc, I'm not much of a fan of their Limited Editions. Some are really cool, but others I kinda gloss over. This pen is certainly interesting. I don't think I've seen one like it before. In my experience, Montblanc pens with threaded barrel-ends (for screw-down posting of caps), are usually the smaller pens...How big is this pen? That said, it looks like a fine pen. I'm sure you'll have a great deal of pleasure writing with it. I love my own Montblanc very much. |
