Ever Notice Others Eyes

Checking out your wrist to see what you're sporting. Seems I "feel" this often, I catch people checking out my watches; do you?
I am guilty as well!

Not so much with SS Sub...but with the PS Yachtmaster I notice some looks. I think it's partly the way the platinum shines and partly because it looks different that the Rolex that "everyone" has, or it could just be because it's new to me and I imagine people looking...

LOL...not only "eyes" but while at work today a client I was helping select eyeglasses for noticed my Daytona (ss-white dial) not only did she ask about it, she asked if she could TRY IT ON- to see how it would look on her wrist. I obliged, and gave her my AD's contact info in Fairfield, CT....LOL my FIRST "real-life" WIS encounter!

I definitely am fixated when I see a Platty YM out in the wild...which doesn't happen very often.

I always catch a Bluesy here or there. I was definitely shocked to see a 1655 on a nato strap at a watch shop here in town. I think the owner was also shocked that I mentioned it.

I've actually had people compliment my watches while I'm at work policing. I think people check you out a little more when your in uniform. They also want to talk, and find something your wearing to strike up a conversation. The best was when I worked security for a University of Georgia sorority party. I had a few girls notice. I'm still a gorilla with a shiny watch either way!

I work in accounting/finance, hence in the financial district of the city. I get so many looks it's embarrasing some times.

I work in a very large shared-office building in the downtown-core of the city. Many times I'll get on the elevator and be all alone. I non-challantly cross my arms and lean against the back wall of the elevator as it's relaxing. Problem is my left-arm over laps my right and my Deepsea is on my left, so it sticks out. No big deal until the elevator stops at a floor on the way down and either male or female get on and they start looking at it. Guys will usually just sneak a glance and mind their own business, but the women are brutal!!! Even when I realize what is going on and I uncross my arms and put my left hand in my pocket to detract the glances at the "beast", the women just keep staring at me. I play dumb and won't make eye contact with them. It makes for an uncomfortable ride down that elevator I tell you. Sometimes I feel the elevator just doesn't go fast enough!!!!!!

I get it around the office from some co-workers too. The guy who sits next to me wants to get a TAG Carriera. He mentioned to another co-worker that the TAG is pretty big. The other co-worker mentioned "You wanna see a big watch, look at Chris's watch..............it's f$%king huge!".

Yes I do and as you are, I am guilty as well, it is one of life's little pleasures to look at what another WIS is wearing. I often comment and remark what good taste they have. It has made a few peoples day as it has done for me when someone recognises my watch!

Yes, exactly . . . it seems to me that few people care what kind of watch I'm wearing, however I tend to notice if someone has a nice watch on.

I work in banking and am always wearing long sleeves to work. To date, only one of my co-workers has mentioned anything about any of my watches. He told me that my SD was a fake and I told him "Well if you say so then I guess it is" Hey, who am I to argue with my boss, the branch manager he also happens to be a "replica guy." His response was "I knew it, don't try to slip a fake watch by me, I can spot them a mile away

I do however have some bank customers who come in and mention something from time to time. The reactions range from just glancing for a moment to the occasional "nice watch" but every now and then though you do get the occasional WIS who compliments it and gives me the typical "Is it real?"

I never know how to respond and always try to change the subject as it is a little uncomfortable talking about my watch with someone I know nothing about in a professional environment

Let me start this with I have my Rolex watch on my right hand and my expensive bracelet on my left hand.
I had a situation this past week when I was working on a safe at Blockbuster Video and a employee asked me if my bracelet was real? I looked at her and said what do you mean?? She said is it a magnet bracelet? no I said, it is from Zales jewelry store and she just stared at me like she was lost. I looked at her and noticed the Timex watch she was wearing, the plastic butterfly combs in her hair and the fake gold/diamond earrings, so I just left it at that.

Sometimes, maybe once every few months, or so. Of course, as a WIS, I always check out wrists !!!

People notice my "hardwood" hats (I have several). I get lots of stares and numerous compliments on them.

They don't see my watch, because I normally wear long sleeves when out.

You can be darn sure they aren't checking ME out.

I notice other peoples watches...I have a friend/ patient with a Gold DD Bark with a tiger eye type dial. I also have lots of friends with Subs and YM's.

I have had a few people notice my watch. I think most people think its a fake....
