Did the AD specify which model/s? Seems rather soon after Basel for ADs to be receiving newly launched pieces...

Cheers

They will definetely sell for a premium when they first come out, just like all the other new Rollies.

Nothing better for an AD than pre-selling.

Did he offer you a choice of colours?

AD's can't charge more than 'list price'..... can they??

Myself never listen to speculation or most ADs only the plain facts will do for me.

Who knows for sure?

£4750 would be too much for this type of watch.

Think about a Z series 11610 for around the £2750 mark, preowned.

A much better buy.

At that price, it must be the new ceramic sub. The GMT IIc is $7K MSRP.

Yes, it is the new ceramic Sub. I heard the same story (choose to believe it or not) from three different AD's on the new ceramic Sub (116610).

One AD, who I know the owner very well called Rolex Sales in NY to order me a 16610 and they told him that the 16610 will be available in March in very limited quantities and the new model will be shipping in April.

Another AD told me before Christmas that his Rolex Rep informed him that Rolex has already produced the new ceramic Sub and was waiting for Basel and old stock to run down on the current Sub and will ship right after Basel. He says with sales down significantly, they have kept production running and already have the new ceramic SS Sub ready to ship.

Yeah, I know it is usually several months after Basel, but this time it could be different. (Oh, and don't shoot the messenger because it could always be more AD BS!) Take it for what it's worth

With the SDDS priced at $9250 and the GMT2C priced at $7000, sounds right on the money to me.

No reference is made to the NEW version sub in this statement.Possibly just a delivery of existing Subs!!!

AD's have an inconsistent track record delivering on their promises in my experience.

My AD had a show with a Rolex Rep there a few weeks back.
He also said Subs arriving late May.
Would not say anything about the Sub, if it is a new Sub but did
say price point was in the 7's.
My AD said I can have the first if I want it (full MSRP plus tax of course).
I am not a sub fan really and will most likely pass. Not like Id be able to easily
resell at a profit in this market especially when my AD insists on filling in
my name on the warranty card.

More than a SS GMT IIC? That must mean the GMT IIC's are going to go up?

FWIW - Met the Rolex rep at my AD this past week and he said that he is getting one last, small shipment of the current 16610 Sub and after that - no more.

I agree...that is probably the TT model that was released last year. Rolex has never had new product reach the AD's within a month or 2 of Basel.
